Bruce & Mary Aspgren

  1. We believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God, is God, was born of a virgin, was crucified for the sins of mankind, was resurrected on the third day, ascended into heaven, and is coming back soon to rule and reign for evermore.
  2. We believe that the only way to eternal salvation is through personal belief that the blood of Jesus is all-sufficient for the penalty of sin and an acceptance of him into your life as Lord and Saviour.
  3. We believe in salvation by grace alone, and that salvation is immediate and eternal upon acceptance of Jesus as a one-time sacrifice for your sins, and not obtained through any works, sacraments, traditions or merits of our own.
  4. We believe in the Trinity: That God The Father, God The Son, and God The Holy Spirit are three Persons present in one God

MAKE MEMORIES

While working on the 1946 Metro fishing camp/van a truck came up the drive 3 men got out and asked if they could take a look. Yes climb in watch out for the floor. They took turns sitting in the drivers seat we sat on the tire covers inside and smiled .

After awhile they started to leave we shook hands . One of the men shared that the older man was his grandfather, the other one is his father. 3 generations enjoying the fishing camp.

I asked if I could do my job?

I spoke to the elder one and asked if he died today would he be in heaven with GOD?
He stared at me for a while then wiped his eyes and said I do not know. I shared that his job here on earth is to show others about how good GOD is . Right now GOD is asking you to give your life to him. To let JESUS into his heart. He said can we? I asked them to join hands and to repeat the sinners prayer.

This is the first time I was a witness to 3 generations coming together in CHRIST.

I was taken to the side by the young man and he shared that they were returning from the Dr's. with a report that grandpa has cancer.

Does GOD have a plan for this fishing camp?

These writings are a way to share ministry with folks that call me brbruce.

All I Own is Trash

This is about homeless children.
While on a visit to a children's home (orphanage)
in central Texas.
I spent some time with a group of children 5 to 9 years old.
A house father shared this story.
When the children come here I spend extra time with them and when we look at what they bring with them its usually in a trash bag.
I asked one little girl what she had and she stated all I own is trash.
Every time that she was to pack up her things they would say go get a trash bag.

I pray that this small word has touched you as it did me.

I will never say trash bag when I speak about the bag that someone carries there worldly possessions in.

This is a true story and I pray that you share it with others.

Jesus spoken Hear.

Love Never Gives Up

Led to go under the bridge into a camp, under a lean-to plastic tarp a man laid upon some cardboard and blankets. He spoke out in a frail voice "pastor brbruce" I was just thinking about you. I reached out to shake his hand he couldnt lift it. A stroke has set upon his reach. I followed up with a hug and held him for a while.

It was a year ago we met and for a while he avoided me.

In the winter while giving socks and a blanket to him he asked the Lord into his heart. I shared what is Jesus love with him, he spoke to me of love that has returned into his life. We prayed and he asked GOD to never give up on him.

One night I went to visit him and he was gone. He had passed away.

I covered him with his blanket.

He  got  right  with  GOD...

Love  never  gives  up.

Give Your Best

While in Houston for a prayer luncheon, afterwords I went to the ministry van and changed clothes to go out into the streets. I sat outside of the van and changed from my cowboy boots into a pair of work boots.

A man came up to me and said Sir I need some shoes. I looked down at my work boots  and over at the shiny cowboy boots and looked back up to him, and handed him the cowboy boots. I reached into the van and got a new pair of socks and asked him if he had a shirt "no Sir" I reached back and got the pants and shirt that I just changed out of.

He started to well up, when I shared that God had sent me here to help him today. He look at me and said "I prayed this morning for some clothes I want to look good for a friends funeral tomorrow". I shared that's how God answers prayers. We agreed in prayer and I drove away.

A few blocks away I pulled over and had a good cry.

I recalled how I looked down upon the work boots.

God said Give your best.
